Fake Food Project- Sushi Process

I determined to use polyurethane baking clay as my primary medium for the sushi, as I felt it would allow me to achieve the level of detail to make the food look realistic in a black box setting. Rather than carving the rice out of a solid bloc, I rolled each individual rice grain and then placed them in the outermost layer of both the maki and the nigiri. I also used scrap wood to create a plate and carved disposable chopsticks to give them added flair.
